Dept of energy has just been asked to play BUMBERSHOOT this year

The group accepted the invite, and have a date and time to pass on

SEPT 7th MONDAY at NOON in the EMP SKYCHURCH

March 2009

Dept of Energy has been featured live on two different radio shows in the last few months,

First Ty and Robb performed acoustic on "Too Beautiful to live" with Luke Burbank, KIRO 97.3 FM in Seattle.

Then The band played live as full unit on KEXP 90.3 FM, before selling out the Tractor Tavern later that same evening.

On Friday the 13th DOE was the featured song of the day on KEXP's daily download podcast.

After their first week on KEXP's playlist the band listed in the top 60 charts, and #6 locally and has stayed on the charts over a month.

The group is hit rotation on other local stations rotations, debuting at #29 on KAOS in Olympia, and #26 on KUGS in Bellingham.

The band is a featured review in the online magazine "Caught in the Carousel" in March.

The group will play the following shows.

Seattle - APRIL 25th at the High Dive with fantastic local indie bands the redwood plan and Brent Armaker and the Rodeo!

then: Portland OR at the EAST END May 29th with Blue Skies For Black Hearts!

and Eugene OR on MAY 30th with Yeltsin at Sam Bonds Garage.
